Re:Another Geoglossum
Hi Vasileios,

This one looks very much like G; cookeianum. The most common species in our western coast sandy lawns .

''possible'' for JPP too ?

Re:Another Geoglossum
ICookeanum seems correct. Spores with 7 septa,, paraphyses with short cells, no typically globulose, but it's sometimes like that.
Also the clavula is very compressed with a large furrow
I think that the Vasileios dias are made after koh treatement. It's better on water mount. Here the paraphyses seem greenish. Normally they are brownish. and all geoglossum, In fallax the gel is very brownish in this latter.but the paraphyses only slightly brownish.
Also the guttules spores disappeared. In cookeanum, the large guttules are biseriate in the spores.

What country of Greece do you leave Vasileios ,yours geo collects are old recolts or collected during the end of december .?
JPP

I live in Artemis, near in Athens. My species Geoglossum barlae cf. and Microglossum olivaceum cf., they is from 02-01-10, in altitude 650 m, in Katsimidi Attiki Greece, in forest with Quercus ilex, Arbutus and Pinus halepensis. The species Geoglossum cookeanum cf., they is my friend Dimitris Sofronis, it before found him for roughly one week in forest with Pinus halepensis.
