Riet van Oosten, 20-11-2021 16:04
Riet van Oosten
Hello,

Found by Laurens van der Linde, November 2021.

Could this be Ombrophila violacea?

IKI+, with cristals, spore sizes: Me: 5.8 x 3.1 µm  N =5

Greetings, Riet

Re : Ombrophila violacea?
The spores seem to me too small. Could you send me these images by email? I need them larger, double size or so, and best with a scale also for the spores.

Re : Ombrophila violacea?
Thanks! I measure the spores as 5-6(-7) x 2.7-3.1 µm, about half as wide as the length.

They more recall the spore size of O. "janthina".

What was the substrate?

The spore content fits the sample by M. Gryc 20190628

Re : Ombrophila violacea?
Substrate: stump of an old felled tree. Largest trees on that spot are willow and poplar.

Tomorrow Laurens will check if there is any bark left.

No coniferous trees present as far as he knows.

Re : Ombrophila violacea?
o.k., possibly exists a non-conifericolous species close to "janthina".

If I knew the collection date I could label the files.
