Unknown brown asco
Malcolm Greaves, 06-07-2016 18:36
Malcolm GreavesA group of these brown/purple asco were found on the same soil as the as yet unidentified Scutellina. With a granular outside curved paraphyses and spores 17 x 8.5 with a faint single guttule I am struggling to come up with a genus. The asci were blued in Lugol.
Thanks
Mal

Re : Unknown brown asco

Dear Mal,

how was that blueing of the asci: just the tip as in Peziza, or more or less the whole ascus length?

best regards,
Andreas
