Hello everybody,

I hope somebody can help me with this collection:

Substrate: On dead, lying stems of Cirsium spinosissimum (in alpine environment).

Macro: Rather hard and dense pale orange to pink emerging Stromata up to 2.5 x 1.5 mm in size. Pinkish orange perithecia (dark reddish-orange when dry, without colour change in KOH) with an individual diameter of 0.15-0.25 mm are seated on the stroma. Perithecia have a whitish tomentose cover.

Micro: Perithecia surface (partly) covered by short hairs of about 5-25 x 3-4 µm. Spores (only within Asci and probably not mature!) 8.5 – 14 x 3.5-4.5 µm, 1-septate, hyaline, smooth(?). Asci 50-70 x 5-6 µm.

Many thanks for any ideas,

Stefan
