Mycosphaerella patouillardii o buxicola?

Mycosphaerella on living leaves of Buxus sempervirens, from Navarra (Spain).
The description I have of both (M. patouillardii and M. buxicola) is very similar, and I have not found microphotographs to compare with mine, so I am not able to determine it correctly.
I'd be grateful of some help
Best regards
Carmen

Re : Mycosphaerella patouillardii o buxicola?
Hi Carmen,
I don't have a lot of experience with this group but if you compare the two species you mentioned on the Mycosphaerella Identification Website* your collection fits better to M. patouillardii:
M. patouillardii: on living leaves, ascospores 25-30 x 3-4 µm.
M. buxicola: on dead leaves, ascospores 17-23 x 2-3 µm.
Maybe that helps...
Best wishes,
Gernot
