I have received some data and images for a short stalked to sessile Lasiobelonium or similar fungus from the Lachnaceae, with the request this it is offered to the Ascofrance forum.
The spores are described as 7 - 10 x 1.5um, with tapering but rounded ends. The asci are 8-spored, each with a minute apical pore which stains deep blue in iodine.
I have attached an image of the fruit bodies and a micro photograph of the slender, thick walled, septate hairs which are densely covered with hyaline granules. The hairs are generally quite straight on the flanks as well as at the margins.
I wonder if anyone has encountered such a species growing on dead herbaceous stems such as those of Epilobium?

Perhaps Lasiobelonium lanceolatum. Any info on the paraphyses? They should be broadly lanceolate and strongly protruding.

I have been advised that the paraphyses of this sample are filiform and that they only just exceed the asci in length.
It looks as if L. lanceolatum is excluded.
Unfortunately, there is no information about the content of the spores, which were seen in dried material.

With these photos alone I think the fungus is indeterminable.
