didymosphaerioid pyrenomycete on Cornus alba
Björn Wergen, 14-11-2012 21:28
Björn WergenHello everybody,

back again with some new interesting findings, beside Leiosphaerella vexata and Clypeosphaeria mamillana I had an unknown pyrenomycete breaking through the bark of attached, dead twigs of Cornus alba. It has very small perithecia with an Ostiolus, black and about 0,3-0,6mm.
Spores are 13-16x5,5-6µm, with a smooth surface. Asci with uniseriate spores, 80-100x7-9µm. Paraphyses filiform. IKI -

I think it has similarities with Didymosphaeria, but it is not D. conoidea, D. rubicola or D. oblitescens. Perhaps someone has an idea :)

regards,
björn
