Leucostoma ?
Andreas Millinger, 07-12-2025 22:43
Andreas MillingerGood evening,

tried to determine with Munks Valsa-key, but was not successful.

Substrate is not exactly known, some decidiouos tree/shrub in a lowland mixed forest, twigs of 1cm in diametre on the forest ground.

Fruitbodies growing inside the bark, leaving black lines on the wood. Stromata 1-2 mm ellipsoide consisting of many (10-20) pertithecia with ostioles constricted as a bundle of worm-like black structures visible. ostole-tips are somewhat furrowed.

Asci 28.8-32.3-35.2 x3.9-4.2-4.4, the porus is weakly blue in Lugol

Spores allantoid, strongly curved, with a drop on each pole, [3.6-4.1-4.6] x [1.2-1.4-1.7] Q = [2.4-3.0-3.7] N = 24

Thanks a lot for any hint!

Re : Leucostoma ?
Hi Andreas.
Compare it with Peroneutypa heteracantha. The ascospores are hyaline in Leucostoma and related genera and the asci I negative.
