Ombrophila violacea?
Marek Capoun,

I thought it could be Ombrophila violacea or O. pura, but the ascospores are smaller than they should be.
Apos max. 6 mm on average, sessile or very shortly stalked, pink or rather pinkish white. Medullary excipulum gelified, in the tissue found conidiophores (really?). Ectal excipulum with text. prismatica (with incrustation?). Ascospores ellipsoid, (5.3) 5.7 - 6.6 (7.6) × (3.5) 3.7 - 4.1 (4.2) µm with 2 LBs and sometimes some others smaller.
There was some apos last year on that place too, on this same substrate and at the same time, but it was not examined by microscopy then.
Are such information and photos sufficient for a determination?
Thanks a lot.
Marek

Re : Ombrophila violacea?
Yes, I guess this belongs in the scope of O. violacea. There are samples in my folder that are close: VII.2013 and IX.2014.
But I ask myself how heterogeneous this complex would be when sequenced.
There are no conidiophores in the medulla, this must be hyphae with exudate or crystal sheath.
Alnus and Acer are easily distinguished by wood anatomy.

Dear Zotto, thanks for the post, confirmation and correction, and special thanks for placing my photos into your folders ;) Well, and I'm going to learn the anatomy of wood :))

Re : Ombrophila violacea?
Radial, tangential and cross sections would promptly show if it is Alnus or Acer or something else.
