Hyphomycet?
Björn Wergen, 01-01-2012 17:18
Björn WergenHi,

I have found a small "hyphomycet" or something like this in the hymenium of Tulasnella violea, growing on Corylus. The spores are about 4-4,5x1,5µm, hyalin, smooth, ellipsoid.
Only about 0,2-0,4 mm high.

thanks and regards,
björn

Re : Hyphomycet?
Yes, this looks to me like a Haplographium. It is the anamorph of Dematioscypha, and not rare on decirticated deciduous wood.

Hi Zotto,

this sounds good. I have found photos of it in my Dematioscypha-folder. Is there a probability to find also the Dematioscypha on this place?

regards,
björn

Re : Hyphomycet?
Surely. I learned that apothecia of Dematioscypha species can also be found on still attached branches so this genus is desiccation-tolerant.

But a clue to find them I do not have.
