Rather large apothecia (up to 12 mm) on dead wood, slightly more ochraceous than the photos indicate, excipulum whitish, scurfy/warted. Stem lacking or rudimentary. Spores 17-18 x 5 microns, with several guttules at each end (in water), paraphyses cylindrical, multiguttulate.

Suggestions?

oh with so few data it is difficult.  Phaeohelotium epiphyllum would be my guess, because the spores look homopolar, but at least the croziers should be verified.

I don't think H. conscriptus, the spores are not scutuloid. Asci obviously have croziers. The pustules on the outside seem to me to fit epiphyllum. The apothecial stalk probably are always very short?

P. epiphyllum may grow on leaves and fruits as well as on all kinds of wood.
