Small Peziza?
Mirek Gryc, 25-09-2020 11:01
Hi

One small ascomata (about 8 mm in diameter) found a week ago. It grew on a forest path on the ground in a mixed forest. Completely immature, so I kept it in the ripening room. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the print spores because the fruit started to grow moldy. I only had a small piece at my disposal. However, I think that the spores I present are adequately mature.

Spores; Me = 14.3 × 9.4 µm ; Qe = 1.5

Ascus quite long around 350um

Reaction to iodine (lugol) quite profound

I have no idea

Mirek

Re : Small Peziza?
I've never dealt with it, but don't you think that the features of this collection are completely in line with Peziza badiofusca?
I haven't seen the latex, but I suspect it's because of the dry weather.

Everyone who has more detailed documentation of this species, I would ask for help :)

Hello Mirek,
compare with P. saccardoana.

Re : Small Peziza?
Hi Viktorie
I considered it, but P. saccardoana should have larger fruiting bodies and a hymenium with an olive shade. I didn't notice any olive shades in my fruiting body, so I think mine is closer to P. badiofusca.
Thank you
Mirek
