Viktorie HalasuHello,

another corpse on bark of laying Ulmus branch, soc. Orbilia aurantiorubra (what else..).
Most spores dead, many germinating and sometimes 1-septate.
Hairs (17)19-30 × (2.6)2.9-3.5(3.8) ?, some smooth, some with short pegs or blunt spines, not dissolving in heated MLZ.

Because of the inamyloid asci, I'm thinking on C. chlorosticta but the spores probably don't fit it.

Hi Viktorie

I remember C. chlorosticta with a rather variable spore size. And I see, in my old sample 3141a it is just as in yours: 5.5-7.5 x 2(-2.5).

I am not sure if there is a difference in the ascus apex being either a bit truncate and thin-walled when dead, or more rounded and thick-walled 8with dome).#

Dear Zotto, thank you for confirmation.

I admit I havent paid much attention to the ascus apex shape. Here are all the asci I have on photo, all from the apo. on macrophoto. The rest of apoth. were very senescent, no asci, most spores germinating etc. Difference from what - "typical" C. chlorosticta, C. mali, other Cistellas, or some other genera?

Re : Cistella yellowish
This is exactly what I meant, truncate and thin-walled. maybe there are two species, onw tih and one without dome.

C. mali I considered synonym with chlorosticta.
