I'm struggling to find a name for this species.
The host is Pellia sp.
Ascospores are approx. 10.7-12.5 x 4.7-5.0 µm.
Asci are IKI-, croziers seem to be absent.
Best wishes,
Gernot

Re : Discomycete on Pellia (liverwort)
R. Ibarretxe found the same thing which I classified in Leptodontidium (Leptodontidiaceae): bryophilic fungus collected in Hepatica (later as Pellia epiphylla). Ascos: 72-91 x 8.8-11.1 µm IKI (-), Croziers not seen Ascospores: (10.9) 11.1 - 14 (15.1) × (4.3) 4.4 - 5 (5.3) µm Q = (2.2) 2.3 - 3.1 (3.5); N = 23 Me = 12.7 × 4.7 µm; Qe = 2.7 Paraphyses: filiform, septate, refractive, 3 µm at the apex approximately. 2020 / XI / 28, Habitat: Hepatica sp, Municipality: Galdakao, Province: Bizkaia (Basque country). Images in my "Pellia" folder.
