On dead twigs of Salix aurita I found some hairy discs with brown hymenium.Spores were hyaline and measured 12x9µ. They contained mostly 2 large guttules. Asci were I neg, 115x15µ. Paraphyses 80x8µ and had a refractory content.Hairs were brown and measured 30-40µAny suggestions?

Re : Hairy discs on twigs Salix
Velutarina rufoolivacea. The apical rings should react dirty red-brown in IKI (hemiamyloid). In MLZ they would be only weakly blue. The spores are usually 10-15 x 7-8 µm

Re : Hairy discs on twigs Salix
You are right Zotto.
My first bottle was probably too old and did not give any reaction.
Using a new bottle I got a redbrown reaction.
Thx
