Proliferodiscus pulveraceus ?

Hello all,
I think I have finally found Proliferodiscus pulveraceus here in Brooklyn. The tissue turns violet in KOH. The hairs are cylindrical and encrusted. Unfortunately, my collection seems to be immature. All asci that I have seen do not contain spores. And in IKI I do not see an amyloid reaction. (Is it possible that the amyloidity could develop after the asci mature?) Is this Proliferodiscus as i suspect or should I look elsewhere (after nurturing it in a moist chamber perhaps)?
Thank you all for your help.
Ethan

Re : Proliferodiscus pulveraceus ?
Yes, it is Proliferodiscus pulveraceus. This species is often immature or has only a few mature asci. The iodine reaction must be present before the spores get mature.
But there actually exist populations with inamyloid asci. E.g. in HB 6691b I did not get a reaction even after KOH-pretreatment.
Interesting would be to look for the ascus base, there exist populations with or without croziers.

Re : Proliferodiscus pulveraceus ?
Thank you, Zotto. I will look at it again after a few days in a moist chamber with and pay particular attention to the presence of croziers.
