Anamorph associated with Sclerencoelia fraxinicola
Gernot Friebes, 18-11-2021 20:12
Hi,

we recently found this anamorph on Fraxinus, closely associated with Sclerencoelia fraxinicola. I didn't come across any information on a possible asexual morph of S. fraxinicola so I assume that this close association might just be a coincidence. I still wanted to share this observation, and if someone actually has an idea regarding the anamorph, I would be happy to hear it. Conidia measure about 3.2–3.9 x 1–1.2 µm.

Thank you and best wishes,
Gernot

Hi Gernot,
it reminds me a lot to Sidorothis the anamorph of Tympanis, can you get a sequence of it?
Best
Luis

Re : Anamorph associated with Sclerencoelia fraxinicola
Thanks a lot, Luis – right, I didn't consider Tympanis here. Not easy for me to get a sequence, would you be interested in trying if I send it to you?

Best wishes,
Gernot

Re : Anamorph associated with Sclerencoelia fraxinicola
if you can isolate then in a sterile eppendorf tubes (1 or 2 tubes with 2-4 conidiophores depending of the size of the collection), yes! you can send them to me and I could try to get the DNA.
