Hi,

a few days ago I received this collection on indet. plant material embedded in soil (likely some herbaceous stem). The apothecia colour is cream but they tend to change to redbrown when old. The scutuloid ascospores measure 14.5-18.5(20.5) x 5.2-6 µm. I did not observe setulae. Croziers are absent.

Thanks for your help!

Best wishes,
Gernot

Hi Gernot

too difficult I think. The paraphyses are almost without VBs? This is extraordinary, it occurs in H. caudatus, but else???

Re : Hymenoscyphus sp.
Thank you, Zotto. Yes, it appears as if VBs are lacking...

Best wishes,
Gernot
