Bonjour à tous/Hi to everyone I am passing along
Hyaloscyphaceae ?
Ethan Crenson,

In New York City, on well rotted hardwood, I found these small, hairy tan cups with cream colored hymenium, most about 1mm in diameter or smaller. Hairs septate and around 100-133 by 5µm. Asci 55-65 by 5µm. Very difficult to determine if it is amyloid. The apex darkened quite a bit in Lugol's solution--so dark that the color was very hard to determine. Spores fusiform, with a lot of variation in size: (7) 9-13 (15) by (1.5) 2-3µm. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Re : Hyaloscyphaceae ?
Hi Ethan
I consider this to be Trichopeziza subsulphurea.

Re : Hyaloscyphaceae ?
Thank you Zotto. Can you recommend a resource where I might find a description of T. subsulphurea, and perhaps something on Trichopeziza as a genus?

Re : Hyaloscyphaceae ?
I can mainly recommend my website (folder Lachnaceae). I can send you the paper by Svrcek 1988 if you give me your email.
