Orange asco on well rotted wood
Ethan Crenson, 14-11-2017 20:48
Hello all,

I found this orange asco growing on well rotted wood in the Bronx, NYC last weekend.  Fruiting bodies are 1mm wide at the largest.  Outer surface with hairs with rounded tips.  Asci are perhaps weakly IKI+, 65-99 by 5-6µm. Spores are spindle shaped, hyaline, 11-15 (19) by 2.5-3 (4)µm.  Some appear single septate.  Any guidance would be appreciated.  (By the way, the black fruiting bodies growing at the bottom and left of the first photo are Dactylospora stygia.)

Thank you in advance!
