Recolectada sobre madera de Fagus.
Apotecios de hasta 1.2m, himenio de color gris, margen blanco y excipulo pardo.
Microscopicamente son KOH- (no hay pigmentos amarillos) si bien, el excìpulo pasa de pardo a verde. Tanto las células externas del excipulo como las del margen son fuertemente oleaginosas. Presenta hifas en la parte inferior del excipulo ¿subiculo?.
Las ascas son IKI + (amiloides) con croziers.
Con estos datos pienso que podrÃa ser M benesuada, pero tengo mis dudas.

I imagine that this is what I earlier misidentified as M. benesuada, and now we say "oblonga" according to its anamorph. However, the spores are a bit longer than usual. The same seems to be M. olivaceocinerea s. Gminder, but there is no combination "Mollisia oblonga", the name is Phialocephala oblonga.
