Joseba
Hi Joseba,
this is a Pezicula, maybe close to P. cinnamomea. But what do I read? You use Melzers reagent. I rarely use this, and never with discomycetes. Use IKI (or "Barals solution") then we will see if the porus is really negative (what I do not believe) or red.
Best regards from Lothar
I can only urge you to use Lugol. Presumably a Pezicula, and the ascus apex should stain deep red. f you don't have Lugol, apply KOH and afterwards, after removin with water, add Melzer.
Zotto
Tengo IKI y tambien Lugol, Usaré IKI ..... gracias
Joseba
I have the same problem with IKI, (-). Can it be that here frost (10 degrees below zero) affects the result ?
Greetings Peter.
The last pics do not show the iodine, the plasma must be yellow, otherwise one cannot be sure. Hemiamyloid reactions need a bit higher concentrations, but 0.2% iodine in the preparation should be enough, better is 0.5%
