Hello all, Hoping that help might be possible with a Lophodermium found on pine scales of Pinus sylvestris on coastal heathland.......
Paraphyses had swollen but not curled tips, spores measured 90-115 x 2.5-3 µm
With regards,
Jenny

Re : Lophodermium on pine scales
I've never seen this on cones where I am (very cool!), but there are reports of Lophodermium conigenum on fallen P. sylvestris cones and it seems to fit with yours.

Re : Lophodermium on pine scales
Many thanks Joey, I'd wondered L. conigenum and then discounted it as for some reason I thought the spores on mine were the wrong length.......!
Really useful PDF too.

Jenny
