Black pyreno on bark
Masanori Kutsuna, 29-01-2015 08:18
Hello everyone,

I received photos of small black pyrenos from my friend.

It seems to be common in Japan, but I have no idea of the genus.

Perithecia gregarious on bark, about 0.7-0.8 mm. in diameter, covered with blackish setae.
Asci 65-78 × 18-23 microns, long-stalked, 8-spored.
Ascospores oval to ovoid, 12 x 7.5 microns in average, hyaline, smooth or weakly punctate.
Setae sometimes branched, upto 170 microns.
