Synnemata on herbaceous stem
Stefan Blaser, 31-07-2013 09:13
Hello everybody

I'm trying to identify these rather conspicuous synnematous Hyphomycetes. Does anybody have a hint for a Genus or even a Species?

Habitat: On dead herbaceous stem (probably Adenostyles)

Description: Synnemata with a black Stipe and a brownish head (somewhat slimy when wet, consisting of conidia in chains). Size 1.5-2 x 0.5 mm.

The conidia are produced in long, branched chains (>100 µm long). Single conidial cells usually 8-9 x 2-2.5 µm, hyaline. Few single conidia visible.

Thanks a lot for any comments

Stefan

Re : Synnemata on herbaceous stem

Cordialement
Stefan
