Re : Very small yellow ascomycota
This is not easy. Would require a median section to see the ectal excipulum (gelatinized or not), and the iodine reaction of the ascus apex (IKI). Could be a Hymenoscyphus or Bisporella.

What is very small? 1 mm?

Re : Very small yellow ascomycota
Dear Zotto,
Thank you for your attention.

Iodine reaction:  in Hungary an amateur mycologist not allowed buy Melzer reagent.

I could not make median sections, because the Ascomycota was very small cross-section 0.1 to 0.5 mm.

It seems glass like and gelatinized.

Thanks for the suggestion of looking Bisporella or Hymenoscyphus genus.

For me this is an achievement as well.

Re : Very small yellow ascomycota
Thje forbid to by Melzer is surely because of the included chloral hydrate. But this substance is unfortunate also for the fungi: see my online article

http://www.gbif-mycology.de/HostedSites/Baral/IodineReaction.htm?

Maybe you can obtain iodine crystals and Kalium (potassium) iodide?

If gelatinous it should be Bisporella citrina.

Re : Very small yellow ascomycota
Dear Zotto,

I have read the recommended article. It's very interesting and useful. I hope I'm smarter, but the chemistry is a little hard for me. :-)

The first trials are always the hardest, but when you have an ascomycete with a large amyloid ring you will get excited :-)
