Acanthostigma with Helicosporium anamorph

Alex AkulovDear Friends
Can you help me with the identification of Acanthostigma species from Fagus wood?
I can not find nothing similar in the available literature.

Grateful before,
Alex

Re : Acanthostigma with Helicosporium anamorph
Hi,

A. minutum is possible. Helicomyces is an anamorpf, Fagus as host..... but what about the ascospores?

Chm.....ascospores seems to be asymetrical. 16-56um long? Chm.... seems to be NOT A. minutum. Something closer to A. ellisii....but probably not :-( At this moment no idea.

Re : Acanthostigma with Helicosporium anamorph
to me the "ascospores" seem to reprensent another type of conidia. I wonder if any are connected to the setose ascomata? Do you have any clear views of asci with this type of spores inside?

cheers

Thomas

The spores you show are clearly conidia, perhaps Hendersonia
