Re:Discomycetes on Alnus
Hallo Dmitry,
yes, it is a Mollisia species. I can not tell you which one, because several characters are missing which would be important for a determination.
May be you want to have a look on my website http://www.mollisia.de to get an impression how to work with this genus. The key in the english verison is not as up to date as the german and french version, sorry.
If you would like to, you can send me collections of Mollisia (best dried, because mostly they don't survive more then two or three days in an envelope) from Russia. This is a area from where I don't have seen collections up to now, except some very old from the border to Finland.
It may well be that your collections is Mollisia fusca. Therefore the spores should have several oil drops inside when mounted in a water preparation. And the parapyses should yield a yellow sap into the medium when to a water preparation KOH 3% is added.
best regards,
Andreas

Re:Discomycetes on Alnus
Many thanks for your comment Andreas. I should probably check these specimens more thoroughly and, hopefully, have more experience with this genus in the future. And of course I'll consider sending you some material, maybe I should collect more, though...
