anamorph from Portugal
Lothar Krieglsteiner, 17-12-2024 12:33
Lothar Krieglsteinerthis fluffy anamorph was repeatedly found on deciduous wood - often in the vicinity of Daldinia (old stromata that were not collected). Could it belong to this genus?
Best regards, Lothar

Re : anamorph from Portugal
Hi Lothar.
I have sent something identical to this for molecular analysis a couple of times and it is the anamorph of Daldinia concentrica, as Angel tells you, of the Nodulisporium type.
I am adding the link to a thread of mine with the two phylogenetic trees.

Re : anamorph from Portugal
Hello Josep,
thank you very much for this interesting information including the link.
As I wrote in my post I was thinking of a relationship to Daldinia - but not to D. concentrica that is mostly described to grow nearly exclusively on Fraxinus. Fraxinus was not my substrate but other substrates from the mediterranean (cultured) macchia like Olea (often not clearly to identify).
So - your links solves questions but new ones are arising, as so often ...
Thanks again and best regards, and a merry Christmas!
Lothar
