Marc DetollenaereOn acid peaty soil with Calluna vulgaris I found some dark brown Peziza-like cups of 1-4cm large.Hymenium with a slight violaceous tinge.Spores had no distinct ornementation in oil immersion, measured 16.4-17.9x8.6-9.3µ and contained 2 large guttules.Paraphyses were septate. No latex was noticed.
Any ideas?

Please read my recommandations posted in http://www.ascofrance.fr/search_forum/77006
I know this species, but you could easily find it.
With a spore-print it will be easier to observe the spore ornamentation.

Good morning Nicolas,

Using Melzers I got a WTR reaction.Excipulum was text globulosa with cells <65µ. No thin gel layer was seen.Paraphyses did not contain brown pigment.Spores did have some ornementation, more short ribs than warts.I am not sure if there were croziers present.

Re : Peziza sp
The amyloid reaction is of WT type.
The spore ornamentation is made of fine crests forming a network.

Hello Nicolas,

Using your key of European Pezizaceae from 2022, the WT-type leads me to the genus Legaliana.
As there was no blue latex and the reticulum was incomplete I suppose it is Legaliana badia.
Could you agree?
