Peziza limnaea?
William Slosse, 19-11-2022 19:12
William SlosseOn 13/11/22 I found a growing place of this Peziza in Koksijde-village (Belgium).
The apothecia grew on clayey, calcareous soil about 50cm from a facade. The other side consisted of a gray dune.
The apothecia had a diameter of up to 26 mm. The receptaculum turned olive brown, the excipulum greyish white. No (coloured) latex perceptible.
Spores:
- Decorated with isolated warts up to 1.66µm in diameter
- No apicule
- 1 (sometimes 2) guttules
- Av(20) (16.49)17.81(19.12) x (9.07)9.94(10.72)

With Spooner I come to Peziza limnaea.
Can the specialists confirm/correct this?
Thanks for the responses,

William

Re : Peziza limnaea?
Not Legalia limnaea. This looks more like a species of Paragalactinia succosa complex
