Mathias HassHi everyone, Found on attached branches of top pa
I collected some more information. In later mounts the spores developed oil drops, which they did not exhibit from the initial spore drop (above). The spores also seem to be a bit narrower in the later mounts, matching my earlier collection of L. ellisiana.
Spores from the spore drop (no oil drops)
17.7-22.7 x 3.9-4.6µm, fusiform, many appeared to be germinating.
Spores in later in crush mounts (guttulate):
19.7-21.4 x 3-3.5µm (slightly narrower)
Asci: 56-71 x 5.6-7.3µm, croziers+ (I believe...I only found about 6 asci in all of my mounts), IKI+
Hairs about 4.5µm wide, septate, with wart-like ornamentation. (I think that one of my illustrations of the hairs is actually paraphyses). The hairs are often clumped in a brownish granular substance.
Paraphyses around 3µm wide. In this collection most of the paraphyses did not show the characteristic lanceolate profile.
I have included an image of the excipulum which looks to be textura globulosa-angularis.
I hope this provides more clarity.
Thanks!
Ethan
