Small purplish, flat/conex apothecia on decayed wood

Apothecia 1-1,5 mm in diam., "Ascocoryne-like", tough texture, except the hymenium, which can easily be "scraped" off. Spores broadly ellipsoid-fusiform, ca. 10x5 microns, with two large and several small guttules. Asci weakly amyloid (Lugol, can vaguely be seen in the last photo). No croziers seen.  Paraphyses not or only slightly widened at the tips, some are multiguttulate. Excipulum/trama consisting of hyphoid and inflated cells. Growing on highly decayed wood of Ulmus glabra, alongside Orbilia xanthostigma.

I'm struggling to find a home for this.

Any thoughts?

This is Ascocoryne lilacina (formerly in Ombrophila). Could you please send me collection data? The asci should arise from croziers.

Re : Small purplish, flat/conex apothecia on decayed wood
Thanks a lot! So "Ascocoryne-like" wasn't so far-off. Ombrophila was the genus name I tried to dig up from my memory, unsuccessfully so. I have added the tree species; Ulmus glabra.  I will send you the details pr. email. This is the second find in Norway, the first one was confirmed by you in 2010 (as O. lilacina).

So the wood must be ring-pored.

I guess.  I can check.
