Central Sweden 23 september 2019, Bergsjö in Hälsingland (61°59'21.3"N 17°1'11.7"E) A small collection of a very small yellow "darkfooted" disco with somewhat downy fringe, only a few fruitbodies on a Pinus sylvestris needle in litter on ground. Conidia numerous, rod-shaped, 1-septated and 15-17x2 µm.
Any other similar species on Pinus needles?
/Johan

Re : Asexual Phialea fumosella?
Hi Johan
this is obviously "Orbilia succinea" in herb. Fuckel 1894, 1196.
I have it as ?anamorph of Phialea fumosella (HB 5600), Pezizellaceae. The anamorph is either very variable in external shape (with or without teeth) and colour, or heterogenous.
A very interesting fungus, and strange that it is so unclear, as it is possibly an endophyte of pine needles.
