tiny, pale brown apothecia with ± distinct margin, non-hairy. At the margin of Eutuypella prunastri stromata attached to dead Prunus cerisifera branch 1 m above ground in  damp scrub. Paraphyses longer than asci, mainly non-circinate, with clavate apices, imbedded in gel.  Asci ca. 63 µm long, 8-spored, + croziers, I-. Spores hyaline, 1-celled, flattened ellipsoid, . Sporer ca 11.9 x 5.1 µm with slighly grainy contents but no guttules.

Hi Thomas
It seems to be our Unguiculariopsis 'eutypicola'. A very common fungus at Somiedo that I also know from central Spain.

Re : Unguiculariopsis? on Eutypella prunastri, Denmark V.2019
fine :-). Do you have a link to some of your material?
thanks
Thomas

Re : Unguiculariopsis? on Eutypella prunastri, Denmark V.2019
googling did the trick :)-

Re : Unguiculariopsis? on Eutypella prunastri, Denmark V.2019
the apo seems bigger in your material and the hairs distictly hooked - not seen in this material....

Does your material have hair-like paraphyses? Are the hairs not uncinate?
Thomas Læssøe, 13-05-2019 13:37
Re : Unguiculariopsis? on Eutypella prunastri, Denmark V.2019
parafyses are mostly straight and clavate at the tips and appl imbedded in gel - image four and five

Then they don't seem to be the same thing. U. 'eutypicola' has a very prurinose hymennium due to the presence of such hair-like paraphyses.

Important is to see exactly the margin, how do the hairs like like?
Thomas Læssøe, 14-05-2019 16:59
Re : Unguiculariopsis? on Eutypella prunastri, Denmark V.2019
I could only observe the margin as shown in fig. 6 - no true hairs visibel (also not showing any macroscipically

Ah, now I understand, I was thinking that these pale orange apos bekong to an Orbilia, so they are the disco in question.

Then I have no idea. Perhaps of one these "Laetinaevias" on wood around Helotium uvidulum?

Re : Unguiculariopsis? on Eutypella prunastri, Denmark V.2019
:-) (tiny thing and on at least 20 stromata of the Eutypella)
