Re : White asco
This interesting fungus would need more images. Could you please try a section because of the excipulum, also look for living paraphyses withintact VBs. Would be also good to have a sharp photo of the dead ascus apex in IKI. Presently I have no idea.

Re : White asco
Hi

The collection date is 07/2016/30 therefore these pics are of ecxicata, on rehydrated material.
Best wishes.

Re : White asco
woww! So the excipulum is full of crystals. Is it gelatinized?

If the asci had a hemiamyloid (deep red) apical ring I would say Ombrophila hemiamyloidea. In that species the spores have a gel sheath that reacts reddish with Lugol - your last ascus photos might suggest such reaction.

I think it is this species. You find it as Gelatinomollisia in the Mollisiaceae in my online folders.

Re : White asco
Hi

Ok, it is gelatinized.
The hemiamyloide reaction with the iki is very weak, but I think that it is verified.
Thanks Zotto
Best wishes.

Re : White asco
Yes! Your magnification is rather small, but the result is clearly hemiamyloid.
Could you please tell me the collection data of this rare fungus?
