A recent collection I have made of the fungus generally known as Pyrenopeziza lychnidis, which always struck me as providing at the very least a 'missing link' between Pyrenopeziza and Pirottaea if the genera should be kept separate was transferred to the latter in 2010.

The paper is available online and this thread might be a useful opportunity to draw people's attention to it if they don't know it already:

This fungus is not uncommon in Britain, occurring on dead stems of the previous year's growth of Silene dioica.
