HiThis small, 1-1,2 mm, with yellow hymenium and white and long hairs was growing on Echinospartum horridum. I don't find any similar in Lachnum / Lachnellula.
Asci 8-spores, croziers +, with IKI some apex dirty-red and another blue, (76.3) 79.1 - 90.0 (91.7) x (7.3) 8.1 - 9.6 (10.5) µm; N = 18; Me = 84.5 x 8.8 µm.
Spores cylindrical, heteropolar, with only few small LB and 1-2 septate in few spores very mature, (14.0) 15.7 - 22.1 (25.0) x (2.3) 2.5 - 3.0 (3.2) µm; Q = (4.8) 5.9 - 8.0 (9.1); N = 83; Me = 19.0 x 2.8 µm ; Qe = 6.9.
Paraphysis straight, septate, lanceolated and plenty of small VB.
Hairs straight, sepate, conical, wtith crystals along 3/4, not at apex, apex rounded, more than (146.0) 150.8 - 198.3 (211.6) x (2.8) 3.2 - 4.7 (5.2) µm; N = 26; Me = 173.7 x 4.0 µm.
Ectal excipulum with textura prismatica.
Medullar excipulum with textura intricata.
Thank you.

Re : Lachnum on Echinospartum 150814
Dear Miguel,
to me it looks like a Dasyscyphella with apical bald hairs and such diversity in spores but I can't put a name to it. Perhaps the species should also be sought among Albotricha because of the pointed hairs.
Perhaps Zotto has an idea about the species.
cheers,
Stip

Hi Miguel & Stip
Miguel, you once collected something on a monocot (??Festuca) which seems very close. We put the name A. caduca on it (I have it in my Dasyscyphella folder but it should be related to Albotricha acutipila). Spores are there a bit narrower (2-2.5) and asci pure blue.

Re : Lachnum on Echinospartum 150814
Thanks Stip and Zotto
Zotto, you have more control over my collections than myself, jejeje. Of course, this collection is very close to A. caduca in 2010.
Now, with this new collection and your key of Dasyscyphella I get cleary to D. caduca.

This collection has paraphysis width of (2.5) 2.7 - 4.0 (4.6) µm; Me = 3.2 µm, and longer than asci of (8.9) 12.3 - 20.7 (23.2) µm; Me = 16.6 µm.
But we have the problem of IKI reaction of asci and more yellow hymenium colour, so I guess we can not identify it definitively like Albotricha caduca.
Thank you.
