Hello everyone, On 08/04/26, I found a growth sit
A new pyrenomicete growing on Pinus.
Perithecia size around 300um.
I do not know what genre it belongs, perhaps Ceratosphaeria?
I would appreciate your help.
a greeting
Susana
do you have Réblova's paper: 2013, Mycologia 105: 462-475? There is a very useful key to Ceratosphaeria-like genera. I can send it to you privately.
Running your fungus through the key needs to know whether the asci are short-or long stipitate, which is not easy to make out on your photo. Long stipitate asci, as I suppose, would lead to Ceratolenta but ascospores are much longer than in C. caudata, the only species in the genus.
Maybe you will find more inspiration about your fungus in this paper.
Cheers,
Jacques
Thanks for the article, I have received.
Now I will consult.
Un saludo
Susana
I guess I unfortunately do not have this paper... can you also send it to me? :)
all the best
