Voici un Ascocoryne récolté par un collègue qui me semble correspondre à Ascocoryne inflata. Voici les données :Apothécies Ø 1-5 mm, disciformes, brun-rouge avec une marge plus épaisse, un peu plus foncée.
Excipulum entièrement gélifié. Asques 154-176 × 11-12 µm, avec crochet, à anneau apical IKI+ (bb). Paraphyses à sommet capité, Ø 4.5-5 µm, non guttulées. Spores fusoïdes, 16-22 (24) × 4.5-5 µm, avec 2-3 grosses gouttes et de minuscules guttules. Pas de conidies détectées.
Apothecia Ø 1-5 mm, disciform, red-brown with a darker and thick margin. Excipulum totally gelified. Asci 154-176 × 11-12 µm, crozier +, with an apical ring IKI+ (bb). Paraphyses capitate, Ø 4.5-5 µm, not guttulate. Spores fusoïd, 16-22 (24) × 4.5-5 µm, with 2-3 big LBs and numerous small guttules. No conidia seen.
Collection made at Séchilienne (Isère, France), réserve de la tourbière de Luitel, leg. B. Rivoire, 29-09-2014, on dead and decorticated wood of Pinus uncinata.

No doubt this species. The medulla should be strongly gelatinous and with narrow hyphae.
The status is invalid. The name was only used in the diss of Wilson.

Hi Nicolas,
your collection corresponds very well in micro-characters with mine (21 XI 2010, spores 18,6-22,2 x 4,5-5,2 µm). Though apothecia were more cushion-shaped than your cup-shaped ones.
