On death standing tree (Alnus glutinosa)
Fruitbody:Â max. 50 x 40 x 40 mm
The white line on cut max. diam 1 mm
The perithecia 800-1000 x 300-400 µm
The asci are 8 spores 150-250 x 9 µm
The apical ring 3-4 x 0,5-1 µm ( in Melzer = blue )
The ascospores (12)14-15(16) x 6-7 µm
In 10% KOH pigment is purple / violaceous

this is most likely D. petriniae, at least a member of the complex of closely related species. I was not aware it occured as early as mid June at ascigerous state.
D. vernicosa has a gelatinous interior that turns hollow and differently shaped and darker ascospores.
