Found 28-01-14 in Attica Greece, in Cistus monspeliensis, in forest with Pinus halepensis and Pistacia lentiscus. Dimensions 1-1,8 cm height. Asci 234-322 x 15-18. Spores 17-22 x 11-13.5.

Received today the last number of Rivista di Micologia with our paper about Helvella semiobruta. We have wrote there everything we know about this species. In the abstract we wrote "The diversity of Helvella sectio Lacunosae in mediterranean Cistus communities seems still poorly known".
However your collection is rather close to Helvella semiobruta (surely more than to Helvella helvellula).
