I hope someone can help me with this little hairy Ascomycete (I'm sure it's a Hyaloscypha) on Pinus wood from the South of England...
Spores 7.1-10.3 x 2.6-3.1 µm
Croziers present
Asci tips blue in Lugol's
hairs smooth & blunt-tipped with yellow droplets
A point towards a reliable key to the genus Hyaloscypha would be much appreciated too!
Un grand merci pour votre aide,
Nick

Re : Hyaloscypha
Hi Nick,
I agree with René , H. aureliella is a common species on Pine wood .
Congratulations for the quality of your images and drawings .
Huhtinen 's ''A monograph of Hyaloscypha and allied genera'' is the most complete work I can think of.
Amitiés

Re : Hyaloscypha
Yes, and wonderful how you saw and illustrated the croziers!

Re : Hyaloscypha
Salut à tous,
Oh good, I thought it might be H.aureliella, but I had not found a Hyaloscypha before...
Thanks for the compliments on my drawing, I looked for croziers unsuccesfully for a long time, then a lot came along at once so I couldn't resist including them!
I'll look for Huhtinen's Monograph to help me in future.
Merci encore,
Nick
