Growing on whale ambergris

Good morning
This was 'generously' given to me by someone working on beached cetaceans. It was growing on ambergris, removed from a Cuvier's beaked whale' skeleton. It had quite a carpet of white mould when I received it. I know longer have it, by the way, as it stank!
Conidia: 5.3-8.9 x 3.6-5.6 µm
The final image in Cotton Blue is basal hyphae.
I'm not expecting too much from this but though I would ask forum members as it's a bit unusual.
Regards,
Chris

Re : Growing on whale ambergris
Maybe a Scopulariopsis sp. - do you see annelations at the apex of the conidiogenous cells?

Re : Growing on whale ambergris
I didn't see any annelations, but could have missed them. Thank you for the suggestion.
Chris
