Hymenoscyphus-like species
Nicolas VAN VOOREN, 25-08-2011 15:57
Nicolas VAN VOORENBonjour / Hello.
40-50 µm), à anneau apical IKI+ (bb), type Hymenoscyphus. Paraphyses sans vacuole, à sommet parfois difforme. Spores ciborioïdes, 12,2-15 (19) x 4-5,5 (6) µm, parfois avec 1 cloison (y compris dans l'asque), avec de rares guttules (1-4).

Une idée ?

Paraphyses without VBs, with some twisted apex. Spores ciborioid, 12.2-15 (19) x 4-5.5 (6) µm, sometimes 2-celled (including in ascus), with rare LBs (1-4).

Re : Hymenoscyphus-like species
Did you compare my Hymenoscyphus pezoloma = Pezoloma herbicola nom. prov.?

Needs to have croziers and is more white, but otherwise quite similar. Also quite unspecific to the substrate.

Re : Hymenoscyphus-like species
Indeed, it seems that your H. pezoloma is close to this species. My apos were all yellow and stipitate, and the content of the spores seems to be a bit different...
In my previous description, I ommited to mention that the cells of excipulum do not react in Lugol reagent.

Re : Hymenoscyphus-like species
Did you tgry with Congo red to be sue about the croziers? If the fungus is still fresh and in bon etat, a section should give a clear result.

The apical ring is a bit too narrow for this Pezoloma species. Looks more like a true Hymenoscyphus. But without VBs is strange.

I will check again for the croziers.

Re : Hymenoscyphus-like species
I confirm that asci do not have any crozier (see pictures)
