I found these this morning on my garden rubbish heap on some perennial plant. I thought, that they may be some animal eggs, but decided to check anyway. Supricingly they appeared to be ascos. A Hydropisphaera maybe. Should I go and buy some new razors and maybe limes, too?
These are about 0,2-0,4 mm wide.
The spores are 15-18x4-5 with some droplets.
Asci are abourt 60-80x7-10, IKI-.

Re : Yellow Hydropisphaera?
Hi Marja
I suspect this is Hydropisphaera arenula. Look my paper on Ijuhya equiseti-hyemalis, it occurs also on Equisetum.

Re : Yellow Hydropisphaera?
Oh yes
Thank you Zotto. It seems to fit.
I don't remember having any descriptions about Hydropisphaera, so I have to ask.
The genus was right, so I've learned at least something...
