Chloridium virescens?
Marc Detollenaere, 04-10-2023 18:43
Marc DetollenaereDear Forum,
On the bark of Fagus I found some bright yellow-greenish colonies, rather cottony.Mycelium was brown, septate and branched, about 6µ in diameter. The dark coloured conidiophores were straight and 600-1000µ long.Conidiogenous cells were not foud. Conidia were colourless when seen solitarely but greenish-yellow in mass.Using the key in Goos(1989) I came at Helicosporium virescens, nowadays Chloridium virescens.
Could you agree?

Marc
