Orbilia_cf. obtusispora?
Dirk Gerstner, 10-03-2023 23:17

Asci 40-57 x 5,5-7,0 m
Paraphysen geköpft, gelegentlich moniliform, an der Spitze ca. 2,7-4 Jahre. Ich meine mit Overlay?
Sporen [95 % - 15 - QPr - v - H2O(nat) ] = 9,9 - 11,6 - 13,2 x 1,7 - 2,2 - 2,7 µm Was

denken Sie?
Vielen Dank für deine Unterstützung.
Gruß Dirk

Re : Orbilia_cf. obtusispora?
Hi Dirk

to my memory the spores look a bit too acute at the apex. Not easy to distinguish is O. filiformis and O. subtrapeziformis, as you probably saw. But O. filiformis has narrower spores, apart from narrower SBs.

Perhaps the locality would help? Lowland or subalpine?

Re : Orbilia_cf. obtusispora?
Hi Zotto,
merci for your quick reply.
Yes, I have seen how difficult it is to distinguish between species.
As a layman I was a bit overwhelmed.
Sorry, I forgot to mention where I found it.
Germany, Saarland, about 5m from a small stream at 410 m above sea level.
I had cut the ivy at the base the year before last because it had overgrown my rowan tree.

Best regards Dirk

Then it could actually be O. obtusispora. I will place your pics in my folder but would be happy to know the collection date.
