Hypomyces albidus?
Edvin Johannesen, 23-09-2022 17:03
Edvin JohannesenHi! Found on Stereum sanguinolentum hymenium, Central Norway. Perithecia off-white to pale yellowish, up to 0.25 mm in diameter, somewhat conical, seated on a white, fluffy subiculum. Ascospores 17-25 x 5-6 micr., distinctly warted, becoming 1-(-2?) septate, apiculate (apiculi 1-2 micr.).
I find this consistent with Hypomyces albidus, whose teleomorph I believe is exclusively found on S. sanguinolentum basidiocarps. Any Hypomyces expertise here?
