Tiny yellow apothecia on Aconitum
Edvin Johannesen,

These tiny (0.2-0.5 mm diam.) apothecia were growing on dead stem of Aconitum septentrionale (I'm pretty sure). They are sessile on a constricted base, but not stipitate. Texture is soft (not gelatinous). Asci ca. 60-80 x 6-7 micr, IKI- (Lugol), no croziers seen. Spores 10-15 x 3-4 micr, ellipsoid to fusiform, with internal guttules, becoming 3-septate. Paraphyses slender, filiform, aguttulate. Excipulum not studied in detail, but containing spherical, irregular/prismatic cells.First micro-photo in KOH, last photo in Lugol, the rest in water. Measures in water.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
